Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...

This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.

We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.

That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

New Beginnings!!!

When I landed in Philadelphia after a long 22-hour flight I had no idea what to expect out of the new life that I was going to lead. It was almost as if I was turning a new leaf because Nobody here knew me and I did not know anybody. There was nothing to expect and nothing to believe, but only a million new opportunities to grab.

Though in the first week of my university here I did not get the chance to attend any social events I still did get a feel of my surroundings by just walking around the streets and figuring out how to navigate around the town. I made a few friends just trying to navigate around. Also in the first week I set up my living space, got used to the system of my classes, went to orientation and did basic necessary things that to me was important to do in my first week of being at Drexel.

Even though,  I did not manage attending any social events during my first week at Drexel I made a lot of new friends from various nationalities, and from whom I am learning a lot about the social culture of the United States. Altogether it was an overwhelming experience to have a new beginning at college.
