Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...

This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.

We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.

That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

Friendly Side of Facebook?

I can understand how some people can say that Facebook forces people to be friendly. However, I disagree. Facebook allows people to create a new version of themselves whether it be kinder or meaner then who they really are. Facebook does not force anyone to become a nicer or kinder person. If anything it forces people to lie about themselves so they can fit in with "friends" that they've never even met or people they do know but don't want to let them know who they really are. In conclusion I don't believe that Facebook makes people become nicer.
