Facebook has taken over the lives of thousands of people from all over the world. This new phenomenon is making people obsess over who has the best profile picture or who has more facebook friends. The only thing that facebook comes in handy for is sharing more information and catching up with old friends. It is not making people more "kindly" by any means. In fact, I believe that it is making people more catty and harsh. People are able to comment rude things on other people's pictures, or send hurtful comments through walls or messages. Sometimes, one can be humiliated through an embarrassing picture. Also, anybody could read someone else’s comment and this could start issues between multiple people. Facebook is a leading cause of drama in teenagers' lives. Even though friends can share gifts with each other over facebook and send bumper stickers to one another, the bad outshines the good in this situation.
Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...
This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.
We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.
That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.
