Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...
This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.
We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.
That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

Facebook makes people kindly? psh...
When I hear people say that they think that facebook does, in fact, make people more kindly, I have to pause and really think about this. I guess I can see my opinion going either way, but mostly towards facebook not being kindly. I don't think facebook makes people more kindly just because while it prefers people to be honest about their information, it doesn't enforce correct information. They have no real reason to post true facts because people don't always question the information they see and the people that see the information probably are not so close with the writer that they know everything about them. Also, people can change things about themselves if they feel it will effect the way people see them. So in ways it doesn't make people more kindly. But at the same time it can, because people know that their close friends may read it so they have to be honest or their friends will know they are lying. But even then, they may not be being honest for the right reasons. They are now stating their information to let others know, but maybe to be sure that no one questions them as to whether it is right or wrong.
