Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...

This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.

We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.

That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

Ask Why

Personally, the English curriculum has inspired and motivated me to think and question instead of accepting things for the way they are. Recently I have found myself asking the question “why”. I attribute my new thought process almost entirely to Project 1. After starting the project, I began to “read” into many different events, not just the one I was writing about. Within a day, I was surprised to see how much I learned about human nature. Now, I find myself stopping and analyzing things before and after I do them. For example, walking into biology class the other day, I actually thought about where I would sit and how that would reflect the type of person I am. For everyone who has not tried to apply the concept of Project 1 to every day life, I strongly encourage you to test it out; in addition to being eye opening, it is also extremely entertaining.
