Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...
This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.
We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.
That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

facebook make nicey? not so much.
After reading the article about facebook, I do not think that facebook is making people more kind towards each other. Rather, I feel that facebook is making young people more socially aware of each other. Almost in a way, I feel that facebook is making my generation more socially awkward. For example, as mention in the article, the author when contacted one of his random friends, he did not even ask how she was due to his previous knowledge from her newsfeed. Because of things like newsfeeds, instead of mustering up the courage to ask someone that lives on your hall how they are today because you dont know them very well, an individual can more easily just look at their facebook and find out that way. In essence, we are all turning into hermits, too scared to actually open up our mouths and actually socially interact with others face to face and would rather stare are a computer screen patiently waiting for our minifeeds to reload and update us on our old high school friends as well as random people that we met at a party last friday.
