Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...

This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.

We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.

That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

Facebook is Taking Over!

Facebook, the online gossip center for 100 million users in this world, can not be argued as a networking system that can make us more “kind”.  Facebook is just what it is; drama. The center of almost all drama started in 2004 when Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook. On this famous website, kids, teenagers and even adults have their own page where they can write about themselves, write on their friends walls, upload pictures and add applications for games and much more. The only thing this website does is consume time and provide entertainment for people who are bored. Some people are so addicted and become so distracted that they check their profile every few minutes even while doing their work. When a group of friends are talking, the conversation is not complete until someone brings up Facebook… that’s how much of a popular topic it is to talk about. Its not necessarily a bad thing that Facebook is so popular but it seems be coming to the point that it is almost taking over people’s lives.
