Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...
This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.
We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.
That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

Drexel Social Experience
My first social experience here at Drexel University was my much anticipated move in day. After living on the Jersey Shore for 18 years I was extremely excited to live the college life here in Philadelphia. After arriving and setting up my room in Calhoun Hall I was off to meet some the people who I will be attending school with for the next five years. It was nice meeting such a large diversity of people and making new friends. Hours after my move in I was notified of a mandatory floor meeting right outside my room. When I opened my room door I saw even more new faces and our floors notorious RA. Throughout the meeting we played some icebreaker games to inform the other residents our names and where we lived previous to our move in. Here our RA explained how using drugs and alcohol were prohibited and we learned the rest of the policies we are requried to follow as residents of Calhoun Hall. Overall move in and my first couple days gave me a large insight on the life of college students and what Drexel offers to better its students.
