Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...

This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.

We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.

That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

Feminism response

The author basically posed the question of "why are women to this day, in this ever-changing world, are being discriminated by men?" The conventional wisdom happened to be that women's place is either the kitchen or the bedroom, but women are as intellectual as men can be and should be treated equally. Women with the same qualifications of a man should have the same salary offered to a man, same respect, and same of everything. Women are making breakthroughs nowadays whether it is in politics such recent examples are Sarah Palin running as a Vice-presidential candidate, and Hilary clinton who was the first women to nominate herself as a presedential candidate. Nevertheless, many women have not acknowledged their rights and are just happy with what they get or offered if anything. Although, protests happen to fight companies discrimintion against women, many are just overheard and not really hooking to the public. In the end, women are being discriminated everyday improvements are happening but not as significant as should be the case.
