Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...
This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.
We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.
That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

Television Indecency
The article I read is titled Nonsense of Indecency by Jacob Sullum. Both the articles , Nonsense of Indecency and Freedom's curse have highlighted the use of curse words and offensive language on television. The articles mention that the use of indecent language on television does not imply the literal meaning of the word, sometimes it is just used to describe one's emotion. For example, both the articles mention the use of the 'F' word by Bono at an award function, which was regarded as an expression of his emotions at that time, and not was not meant to be offensive. The meanings of swear words which may have been offensive earlier are not anymore, they have become a medium to express one's emotion.
