Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...

This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.

We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.

That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

Response to "Summer Winter Garden"

In “Summer Winter Garden,” the author brings up many points regarding the environment and its importance. The main question asked in this essay is: Are people too focused on their own issues and what’s important to them that they ignore other equally important issues? I, a person who also cares deeply about the environment, feel that many people do neglect other important issues because they are too busy caring about what is more important to them and how they feel. I feel that this is a great question because the reason why most people are too busy caring about their own issues is because they don’t even know about or realize the other issues concerning the world today. The author then manages to describe ways of changing this by informing people the importance of the environment and its significance to human survival. I mean it’s natural for people to be concerned about themselves, but being able to open your eyes and see other issues in the world can really make a difference.
