Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...
This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.
We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.
That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

Response to "Franklin, My Dear, I Don't Give A Damn"
I really liked the way that this was written. I think that the question at hand is 'do shows like Bill Nye really get kids interested in science or is it just something that children like to begin with?' There are many good points brought up in this that I agree with as to their conclusion, which is that a love of science is something children already have and don't grow to love. The way they say that kids are drawn to shows and museums because they are colorful I think is exactly right. Kids of our generation and this one are more technologically advanced then our parents. While science may be an interesting thing to learn about, we are drawn to colors, special effects and things that make the act look cooler, not necessarily more accurate. I think most people do believe that kids are attracted to science, while I think that the opposite is true in this case.
