Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...

This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.

We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.

That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

Response: Parents Should Be Blamed for Negative Effects of Video Games

In this essay the author writes about his first experiences playing video games on campus and how he, someone who has never been in the gaming world found it strange how the games were so addictive and his friends violent in their response to video games. The topic of the essay "Parents Should Be Blamed for Negative Effects of Video Games” makes a strong opinion about video games. The question that arises from this essay is that what is the cause is for kids today being so violent when it comes to video games. One might argue that it is the video games itself that gets kids addicted to them and make them violent. Often teachers and parents blame the viedogames for the violent behaviour among today’s youngsters but it can also be said that parents are the ones who are the cause for this, since they are nor restricting the games that are being purchased buy their children and by getting them video game consoles they are encouraging violent behaviour in their children.
