Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...
This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.
We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.
That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

Your New Face- Is it friendlier ?
Facebook does not make people friendlier but it does cause less online problems. When people log in they don't automatically post about how they hate Susie B.'s guts. They want to make themselves look good. This doesn't mean that tomorrow they're not going to come into school and beat up Susie B. it just means they're not going to post it on the internet. It doesn't make someone friendlier when they don't comment on someone negatively nor does it make them any less friendly. It just means that they are preoccupied with doing other things such as uploading better pictures of themselves or updating their status from "Bella is heartbroken" to "Bella is looking for a good party ;)". To know that people are just being self centered is to know that they are not becoming friendlier rather more egoistic.
