Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...
This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.
We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.
That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

Response to "Why We Fight"
People fight for many reasons. None which make sense. there are no reasons for human beings to fight each other whether it be war, on the street or in the bar. I am a wrestler, one of the brutal sports name in the paper, and I have rarely been involved in such conflict. I think that the author's reasoning of why people fight is wrong. watching sports like UFC, or boxing does not cause brutal violence, it promotes roughhousing. Activities like wrestling, boxing, and UFC are all done with great respect to there opponent, not with hatred. People fight these days thanks to beer muscles and drugs, you rarely here of fights when people are sober. fights often occur over petty issues such as women and "manliness". I do agree that the author is correct when he said that competition also drives the fighting spirit, but that's what sports are for, the dirty fighting done on the street is a degradation to mankind.
