The three articles about texting and iming were very interesting and entertaining to read. I thought they were all well written and got the point across. Texting and iming are huge parts of everyday life for a lot of people and will continue to become popular as more people are exposed to it. My favorite article was the ClickPress one in which they poked fun at the fact that the U.S. thinks it is the most innovative country while we were slow to adapt to a thing like texting. It also talked about how it became popular with young adults and the obstacles that it had to pass to become popular. An example of this is that at first you couldn't text someone if they had a different service.
Welcome to 32nd and Chestnut...
This is the blog for 75 or so Drexel students, most of whom are new to college and new to Drexel.
We'll document the strangeness of college life, try to translate our experience for diverse readers, and chronicle what it means to be a college student during these crazy days of economic turmoil and political battle.
That's it for now; I have to go an play Spore.

23 Days of Cannibalistic Joy: How Jeepers Creepers Sets Itself Apart from the Conventional Slasher Film
I am a devoted horror movie fan and thus searched topics along the lines or Jason, Friday the 13th, Freddy, Nightmare On Elm Street, etc and what came up was an article about Jeepers Creepers, a movie I've watched, and a comparison between that and 'typical' slasher films. During the article it is proven that it has much in common with other 'slasher' films such as Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Jeepers Creepers takes place at a location far from home, the killer seems human but isn't, and the death's are done using something other than a far distanced attack, i.e. a gun. Although there are these similarities, there are two extreme differences that are seen throughout the film. The first is that the gender roles are switched between the guy and the girl. The second difference is that the Creeper kills and eats for food/need. Jason, Freddy, Michael, etc kill to kill and kill for revenge. Through the article this is shown as to be the main difference as to why Jeepers Creepers can be seen not as a slasher film but as a horror movie.
