I agree with the text messaging articles because I had friends of mine texting all the time in India but here very few do it. Maybe because the cost of texting is more than talking over the phone unlike stated in the article. But US is definitely backward in the field of texting compared to Asian and European countries from my personal experience too.

Foundations of Mac OS X Leopard Security
It is a common misconception that the Leopard is the most secure operating system with no viruses and errors. But the security risks rise when the system is allowed remote access and allow certain applications to roll on the network. It is definitely better at security than any other system but it can't be called fully secure. It is almost like the system gets more prone to security risks with the increase in network permissions. So, lesser the permission, lesser the risk of getting infected.
