kindl?

Facebook and other social networking technologies make people more kindly? That is an almost laughable theory. These sites, facebook, MySpace allow people to communicate without seeing the person face-to-face. This seemingly small feature makes people more confident but it leads to the desensitizing of people. How? They make people unaware of how other people might feel about certain things. If you aren’t talking to someone in their presence you cannot really feel their emotions, which doesn’t make people kinder. I have seen a video of a girl, who might be about 350-400 pounds dancing in a room (on a chair because she actually can’t stand) and the comments underneath are unbelievable. People aren’t afraid to say how disgusted they are because;
1. They don’t know her from anywhere so feel they can say whatever
2. They won’t be with her when she is reading those comments about how nasty she is.
On an even more serious not these sites have lead to a trick that might seem funny, but isn’t. Pretending to be someone you are not. It seems like it will be harmless, there is nothing wrong with pretending to be some guy, spitting game. If that trick was a sign of people being kinder, why would a girl commit suicide? I think everyone knows about Megan. She killed herself because of “josh” who had been created by her neighbor.
I don’t think I need to say anymore
